Group Activity on Boomburbs!
Everyone in the group will work in a packet about boomburbs.
You have 2 main things to do: you have to identify the cities listed on chart on your U.S. map. Then you will figure out the # of boomburbs (cities over 100 K in population=100,000) for each city shown on chart, the total boomburb population and the % of population living in boomburbs.
This is due at the end of class; no exceptions today!
Monday is FRQ Monday; I will also pass out exam review sheets for those students who are taking the final exam in the class.
Tuesday, May 19th is your last notebook check!

Model sheet: Galactic aka Peripheral Model, Concentric Zone Model (Burgess), Sector Model (Hoyt), Multiple Nuclei Model (Harris, Ullman)
Make sure you know what a world city is and megacity-write this down in your notebook, before you take brief notes on your models!
Using the Kaplan book, go to page 362 and take notes on John Borchert’s 4 stages of U.S. cities-create a left side drawing from notes on right side
